Amazon CloudFront is a global content delivery network (CDN) service that securely delivers data, videos, applications, and APIs to your viewers with low latency and high transfer speeds. CloudFront can deliver content from a S3 bucket, EC2 instances, elastic load balancers ans support both Get and Post methods along with other methods for content delivery.
CloudFront can be integrated with Web Application Firewall (WAF) and mitigate DDos attacks and it seamlessly integrate with Shield to provide automatic protection free of cost. It also supports custom domain name using Route 53 with SSL making it a better choice to serve content.
CloudFront is very cheap. It can be used to deliver static objects and also can stream videos - pre recorded and live stream. It can also perform computation using Lambda @Edge that allows running code at the edge location (where content is delivered from).
