HTML del - how to use <del> tag

The HTML <del> - is used to define text within a document that has been deleted. Usually, browsers display the text in the browser as crossed out. The <del> tag is usually used along with the <ins> tag to show what content has been added in place of the deleted text.


The tag supports the global and event attributes.

Defines a URL that explains why the text was deleted
Defines a valid date and time on when the text was deleted
